Auditory studies show that in a class of 100 students, 68% of students own a HydoFlask. You know, the loudest water bottle in history? In 2015, a HydroFlask dropping on the concrete auditorium floor gave kids war flashbacks from another life. Now, no one even flinches.
We all know that one person that brings their Hydro to the bars or chooses to drink out of that at your house instead of using a glass... Here's a little video to celebrate those special friends (Disclaimer: I own two Hyrdos):
The prevalence of these, and other (lesser?) reusable water bottles, have punched the plastic water bottle industry in the face, but it's been a very subtle hit. American consumers purchased 50 billion plastic water bottles last year, but only recycled 23% of them*. So let's not be a part of this statistic.
Invest in a Hydro. Become that person. Or, if you are so inclined, purchase literally any reusable bottle.
If you're on the University of Arizona campus, here are the best places to fill your bottle:
- Center for English as a Second Language: cold, crisp, delicious
- Student Union Memorial Center: lots of water fountains, easy access to ice machines
- Starbucks: don't forget to ask them to fill your reusable bottle rather than ordering a Venti ice water (WE HATE STRAWS)
- Eller College of Management, honorable mention: great taste, room temperature
